Andy Lynch

Partner

Andy Lynch specializes in strategic and crisis communications, guiding Lighthouse’s clients in shaping their messaging and sharing their stories through both their own channels and the media. He works with corporate clients, public agencies, non-profits, community organizations, and individuals facing high-profile issues — providing swift and effective responses, shaping the public narrative, and often serving as a spokesperson.

Before joining Lighthouse, Andy served as Press Director for San Francisco’s Mayor London Breed, where he shaped and implemented the mayor’s communications strategy, acted as spokesperson, drafted speeches and other written communications, and oversaw her social media and online presence.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped oversee the City and County of San Francisco’s public messaging from the moment Breed announced the first-in-the-nation Stay Home order, through the launch of the City’s vaccination campaigns and reopening efforts. He was responsible for coordinating messaging and press responses for numerous city departments that report to the Mayor’s Office, ensuring the consistency, accuracy, and effectiveness of the city’s public communications.

Before entering government, he worked on multiple local and state political campaigns. This included Mayor Breed’s 2018 election, where he managed her online and social-media communications. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Director for the Community Alliance for Jobs & Housing, a coalition of business and labor organizations advocating for economic growth and housing development in San Francisco.

Andy is a graduate of Georgetown University.
